Big Rig Racing has players hauling asphalt in a choice of eight behemoths individually rated in speed, handling, and strength. Rather than compete on the open road, the goal in Big Rig Racing is to challenge rival drivers in a series of closed-circuit races spanning three laps apiece. Arcade-style elements include the use of nitros for speed boosts and the ability to damage other vehicles. Game modes include Time Trial, which has players racing against the clock, and the Challenge Cup, which involves defeating computer-controlled racers in eight venues. Head-to-head races against a friend are also supported via split-screen display.
